LFS is run as a busy working studio. Incredibly, students produce nearly 180 films each year. MA Filmmaking students will gain key credits on a minimum of ten exercise films and a graduation film project. You will gain experience in all aspects of filmmaking, including screenwriting, production design, directing, cinematography, music, sound, producing, and editing. You will also have a course on screen studies, which will lend context to the hands on aspects of filmmaking.

Students learn their craft from working as genuine filmmakers. As a LFS MA Filmmaking student, you will make films on built sets, shoot with professional level cameras, record on professional digital recorders, edit on Avid and get a professional dub in London studios.

At LFS, we commit to spending money only on your education. In our MA Filmmaking program, your fees include everything, including stock and equipment for film exercises, as well as a substantial budget for your graduation film. Many film schools quote only tuition costs and general fees. They then list course materials fees separately.
When you compare LFS to other top film schools, take that into account. And if you are a U.S. student, you are still eligible for the Federal Student Loan Program, even though we are in London.
